What is Key Club?

Key Club International is the world’s largest high school service organization, with more than 260,000 members across 30 countries. It’s not just another club… it’s a global movement of students committed to service, leadership, and community impact.

Now Coppell has its own club. And these students aren’t waiting for someday to make a difference.

They’re Already Making Their Mark

Since officially chartering in November, the Key Club of Coppell High School has jumped right in:

  • Coppell Flick or Treat โ€“ Helping families celebrate Halloween safely
  • Coppell Holiday Parade โ€“ Spreading joy throughout our community
  • Coppell Farmers Market โ€“ Sharing about Kiwanis and Key Club, and raising money for projects
  • Village Collective Partnership โ€“ Collaborating to meet real community needs
  • Heritage Night โ€“ Planning a spring 2026 celebration of culture and diversity at CHS

These aren’t just checkboxes on a college application. They’re students choosing to serve. Choosing to lead. Choosing to make Coppell better.

Why We’re Celebrating

The ceremony will officially induct charter members and install the 2025-2026 Key Club officers who will guide this organization forward. It’s a chance to:

โœจ Honor student leadership โ€“ These students deserve recognition for their commitment to service

โœจ Inspire others โ€“ Students considering joining Key Club can see what it’s all about

โœจ Build community โ€“ When we show up for our young people, we strengthen Coppell

โœจ Pass the torch โ€“ Celebrating 111 years of Kiwanis serving children globally

Orignially, a Perfect Timing: World Kiwanis Week

The celebration originally scheduled 1/27 ice (but rescheduled due to ice storm) concludes World Kiwanis Week (January 21-26, 2026), commemorating the 111th anniversary of Kiwanis International.

For more than a century, Kiwanis has connected communities worldwide with opportunities to serve children. From fighting iodine deficiency to supporting maternal and newborn health, Kiwanis has made measurable, lasting impact in the lives of millions of children.

And here in Coppell, we’re living that legacy by empowering students through Key Club.

The Kiwanis Club of Coppell proudly sponsors the Key Club of Coppell High School, providing mentorship, support, and resources so these student leaders can thrive.

The Bigger Picture

When students engage in meaningful service during their high school years, something powerful happens.

They develop empathy. Leadership skills. Confidence. A sense of purpose.

They learn that their actions matter. That they have the power to create change. That service isn’t something you do FOR people… it’s something you do WITH them.

And they build connections with peers, mentors, and community members that last far beyond graduation.

That’s what Key Club offers. And that’s what we’re celebrating on February 24th.

How You Can Support

1. Attend the ceremony. Your presence sends a powerful message to these students that their community sees them and supports them.

2. Share this event. Know a parent, student, or community member who should be there? Invite them!

3. Learn about Kiwanis. If you’re inspired by what these students are doing, consider joining the Kiwanis Club of Coppell. We meet twice monthly and are always looking for members who want to serve children in our community.

4. Follow our journey. Stay connected with the Kiwanis Club of Coppell and Key Club of Coppell High School on Facebook [@CoppellKiwanis] and our website.

Looking Ahead

This charter celebration is just the beginning.

The students of Key Club are already planning Heritage Night for spring 2026… a celebration of culture, diversity, and community at Coppell High School.

They’re brainstorming new service projects. Building partnerships with local organizations. Dreaming big about how they can make Coppell even better.

And with the support of the Kiwanis Club of Coppell and our entire community, there’s no limit to what they can accomplish.

Join Us

Mark your calendar for Tuesday, February 24th at 4:30 PM.

Come celebrate the students who chose service over self. Leadership over comfort. Community over convenience.

Come be inspired by what the next generation is building.

Come be part of Coppell’s story.

We’ll see you at the Coppell High School Library. Bring your enthusiasm. Bring your support. Bring your belief in what young people can accomplish when they’re empowered to lead.

Together, we’re building a stronger Coppell… one student leader at a time. ๐Ÿ’™
